SHEET: Info for next month's meeting
Next meeting
July 20 - 6:30 PM @ BEL
Church, Rt. 183
At our July meeting we will be celebrating our
summer picnic. The night will be filled with delicious
food, fun games, lots of good prizes and enjoyable
conversations with friends.
The "Recycling" challenge is due at the July
meeting. Take an old project, pair of jeans, sweater,
anything in your sewing room and reconfigure it into a work
of art or more useful item. Don't forget those "Before
Photos" so we can be amazed. Bring your entry in a
paper bag.
Please send a baby picture with your name on the
back to Janet Cramer for a game at the picnic.
Sit & Stitch
Workshops
We will be offering the following
workshop at Sit & Stitch in July and August from

Quilt Show Prop Committee
Our Motto: "If you can haul it,
we can use it!"
Beginning at the
May meeting, Diane Holmes will circulate sign-up sheets for
you to jot down which items you will be bringing to the
quilt show to "set the stage". Alma Huber has
contacted a doll shop who is willing to bring in 100 or more
dolls for us to use as props for the show. Alma will
also be adding her dolls too! So we need side tables,
end tables, bookcases, etc. to display this beautiful
creations. Doilies, small quilts/doll quilts, cradles,
doll beds, doll high chairs, etc. too!
Boutique
Fabric Baskets
We are collecting fabric - fat
quarters, 1/4 yd, 1/2 yd or full yard pieces to be used to
create "baskets of fabric" to be sold at the Boutique table.
We'd love to have a 1 yard donation (more if you force it
upon us!) from each member which would give us 150 yards of
fabric!!! This will be an easy, yet popular addition
to the boutique. We'll also collect small notions,
good books, threat, etc to add to the baskets. Bring
to any meeting or Sit & Stitch. Once again...thank you
for your support!!
2009-2010 UFO Challenge
Bring your completed UFO's and your notebook sheet to each meeting for Show & Tell, then see
one of the committee members
to give them a paper with your project # for a ticket for the monthly drawing.
Extreme Ironing Challenge
Our highly imaginative, greatly inspired, and somewhat demented Challenge Committee is issuing yet another challenge this year! Between now and the August meeting they would like us to
join in the extreme sport and performance art of Extreme Ironing! (EI) Just take your ironing board clothing and iron to an unusual or remote location and have someone take a photo of you as proof. Some ideas: in a forest; in a canoe; in the middle of the street, etc. Anything goes! Broken bones are NOT a requirement! Bring your photo and a little story about your adventure to the August meeting. Are YOU willing to take this newest, fun and more than a little crazy challenge? Put those thinking caps on, have fun, and BE SAFE!
Community Service for Haiti
Remember to keep working on those quilts for the
orphanages in Haiti.
